THE LAND WHERE
In this school project, to design the dessert portion of an authentic Italian cookbook, I had to explore feelings of nostalgia and the deliciousness of Meyer lemons. The section is composed of three recipes that the author, Louise Bell-Verona, recalls her Nona making for her as a child. The bright, sunny environment of Sicily and the delicateness of Sicilian desserts became the backbone for this design. To completely unify this design, I took all photographs myself. I let the light and elegant serif shape each page, which complimented the intricate craft and experience used in creating and executing these recipes.
