GUIDEBOOK TO SIGNAGE AND WAYFINDING

-

SALVATION ARMY

The Salvation Army has a problem of inconsistency within their signage in all 8 of their buildings. THeir printing methods are limited to one, in house, Trotec laser printer, and a design program called CorelDraw. Our ability to reconstruct all of their signs within each building would stretch far beyond our specified time-frame. Our solution is to create a guidebook that can walk through design basics and the specifics to actual signage. Going through their buildings, we narrowed down the different kinds of signs into categories, organized by colour and purpose. Our newly designed signs have only two sizes, 1-2 colours and are limited to one typeface: Helvetica.
